Real Madrid: news and form

Since the resumption of La Liga, Real Madrid have certainly beaten Valladolid and Bilbao (2-0 each), while also being beaten by Real Sociedad (0-0) and even Villarreal (1-2). These two poor performances cost Madrid five valuable points in the title race. Those five points are the distance that separates Real from Barca in the standings, in fact, the blaugranas have enjoyed a clear round since their recovery (except for the draw with Espanyol).

The sad thing is that Real Madrid play well, dominate and create chances, but lack realism in both areas. Los Blancos managed to win only two points in the last 7 games. The attacking record for 2023 is not too encouraging either: Real scores one goal every 9.5 shots. By comparison, Barça are more efficient and need only 6.3 shots to score.

This lack of success also results in mixed results at slaughter.
