A new feature is available for the Samsung Galaxy Book series – Samsung Newsroom Belgium
As part of Samsung’s mission to optimize the connection between mobile and PC, Microsoft Phone Link’s new “Recent Websites” feature is now available for Galaxy devices and the Galaxy Book series.
Devices that communicate well with each other increase productivity and usability, but it’s always possible to push these limitations further. A recent survey[1] shows that 77% of respondents use multiple apps and devices for the same task, but also find that it can require a lot of extra effort. That’s why Samsung Electronics is always looking for new ways to provide the best solutions for various devices such as smartphones, PCs, tablets, watches to connect with each other more easily and better.
Recent Websites[2] This is one of the new features: an update to the Microsoft Phone Link app[3], is now available for the Galaxy Book series, allowing users to continue browsing effortlessly from their smartphones to their PCs. This feature makes browsing easier, faster and more productive.
Galaxy Book users can now download their smartphone’s recent activity with one click, eliminating the need to search across multiple devices again. This allows for fast and convenient navigation. Let’s say a user wants to search for something on their phone and opens several tabs. At some point, it may be more efficient to open the same tabs on a larger screen and start using some PC programs. The Recent Websites feature makes this easier than ever, allowing users to open new tabs without going back to check their search terms or browsing history.
To use the Recent Websites feature, the Galaxy smartphone must be linked to the Galaxy Book via “Link to Windows” on your phone and “Microsoft Phone Link Program” on your computer. Then you open the Microsoft Phone Link app on your smartphone, which shows a list of websites you’ve recently opened, or the watch menu on your computer. If you click on one of these sites, it will open directly on your Galaxy Book.
Recent Websites is one of many new and upcoming features that allow Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Book series to work together better than ever. Constantly pushing the boundaries, Samsung enables customers to use their devices in innovative and convenient ways. Tune in to the next Galaxy Unpacked event to learn more about how Samsung continues to innovate connectivity across and beyond the Galaxy Book series of devices.
