For the first time in years, Samsung could retool its flagship smartphones with Qualcomm chips. The Korean will ignore its internal chips for two years to optimize the new platform for 2025. According to recent rumours, the Galaxy S23 will therefore launch. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip announced in Hawaii in December.
In addition to its outstanding performance, this platform promises better power consumption management. The good news is that autonomy has never been a strong point of the latest Galaxy S. Compatible with 5G and WiFi 6E, Samsung’s new smartphones will also be distinguished by their screen.
The entire range will inherit a Dynamic AMOLED 2X HDR10+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. There will be some differences between models. First on the diagonal of the slab: Galaxy S23, S23 + and S23 will have 6.1 ”, 6.6 ” and 6.8 ” screens respectively.
While the Galaxy S23 Ultra will display content in QHD+ format, the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will also have to be “satisfied” with the Full HD+ definition. The top-of-the-line model will also be the only one to have the LTPO 2.0 panel, which allows you to change the frequency between 1 and 120 Hz depending on the content, thereby saving energy.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra should finally be the only model of the trio with the all-new 3D Sonic Max fingerprint reader from Qualcomm, already seen on the Vivo X80 Pro.
What design is there for the Galaxy S23?
I don’t understand why some people say the Galaxy S23 looks like an iPhone.
For example, where are the similarities? Colors? Does it return? Wallpapers?

Galaxy S23 design will not revolutionize the genre. The first images were leaked weeks before the official announcement. They allow us to discover a series modeled on the Galaxy S22 Ultra launched last year.
Less rounded, the S23s should all have the same integration of unadorned photo sensors in the top left corner. A minimalistic and elegant choice that was praised by critics on last year’s S22 Ultra.
Samsung would still choose not to integrate the sensor under the display, which is both expensive and still inefficient for a consumer model. The three models will be slightly thicker, but longer and wider (by a few millimeters), and all will be IP68 certified.
According to recent rumors, The Galaxy S23 will be offered in four colors: Phantom Black, Botanical Green, Misty Lilac and Cotton Blossom.

Just like last year, the Galaxy S23 should establish itself as a reference in smartphone photography. The first is because Samsung has to replace the main 108 Mpxl sensor with a new 200 Mpxl ISOCELL HP2 internal sensor reserved for the Ultra model.
In addition, the Galaxy S23 Ultra should have the best module in the range, especially with a Night Vision mode that will surpass anything we’ve seen so far.
The rest will be optics Same with the Galaxy S22 Ultranamely an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 12 Mpxl sensor, a telephoto lens with a 10 Mpxl sensor and a 3x optical zoom accompanied by a periscopic lens for 10x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S23 and S23+ should use the same configuration as their predecessors. The software includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with a wide-angle lens, a 10-megapixel sensor and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, as well as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
On the front, the Galaxy S23 and S23 should have a 12 Mpxl sensor (versus 10 Mpxl for previous generations), while the Galaxy S23 Ultra should have the same 40 Mpxl sensor.
