hey, Evan Fournier still plays basketball
This season we’re going back to basics! That’s why every Sunday, so you don’t miss a thing about Killian Hayes’ progress or Rudy Gobert’s new life in his pack of wolves, here’s everything you need to know about the French in the NBA. This week ? Rudy Gobert showed his teeth, Evan Fournier is looking for a receiver, Killian Hayes is transferring and Theo Maledon has been demoted.
# RUDY GOBERT
It remains very much a fluke like the Wolves season, but Rudy showed great things this week against the Nuggets, especially on defense in Jokic and without interior solutions against the Clippers. It’s frustrating to see him throw three shots per game now, but maybe that’s the only role that fits him perfectly for the rest of his career.
- Wolves vs Nuggets: 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks in 27 minutes in 3/3 shooting and 2/4 shooting
- Wolves vs Blazers: 17 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 3 blocks on 6/10 shooting and 5/7 shooting in 35 minutes
- Wolves vs Clippers: 25 points, 21 rebounds and 2 blocks in 36 minutes on 11/15 shooting and 3/5 shooting
# EVAN FOURNIER
If the Knicks want to get interested fans, Vavane needs to show he can still play. It is likely for this purpose, and this purpose only, that the Frenchman was reactivated shortly after Christmas, just to warm up his muscles a bit and feed the mouths of a couple of leaders off the bench with fresh meat.
- Knicks vs Suns: 5 points on 2/6 shooting, including 1/4 from the floor, 5 rebounds and 1 assist in 14 minutes
- Knicks vs Spurs: 6 points on 1/5 shooting, including 1/4 from the floor and 3/4 from the field in 11 minutes
- Knicks @ Raptors: 4 points on 2/4 shooting, including 0/2 from the floor, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 12 minutes
# NICHOLAS BATUM
He took a poster from Bam Adebayo earlier in the week, but in his absence (injured, he logically returns tonight) continues to prove to us that Tyronn Lue is perhaps the most important player on the team. We’re not saying he’s more talented than PG or Kawhi or has more tattoos than Morris, we’re just saying the Clippers are frustrated when Nico doesn’t play. That’s all.
- Clippers vs Heat: 7 points on 3/7 shooting, including 1/4, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 23 minutes
- Clippers @ Nuggets: DNP
- Clippers @ Wolves: DNP
# TO FRANK NTILIKINA
He snorts loudly at the side of the French prince, who struggles with his role. Hopefully he has a good camera to take advantage of the title point guard.
- Mavericks @ Rockets: 0 points on 0/2 from the floor, 3 rebounds and 1 assist in 17 minutes
- Mavericks vs Celtics: 0 points on 0/2 parking in 6 minutes
- Mavericks vs Pelicans: 0 points on 0/3 shooting, 1 rebound and 1 assist in 11 minutes
#KILLIANHAYS
After a three-game suspension, Killian returned to work with his newfound badass status of the group. In the field? Kiki continues to confirm the match against the reigning champions with 13 spawns and zero losses, then a very complete against the champions… 2014. We feel our way, but it seems that the French leader has finally left.
- Pistons @ Blazers: Suspended
- Pistons @ Warriors: 9 points on 3/12 shooting, including 1/4 from the floor and 2/2 from the field, 2 rebounds, 13 assists and 1 steal in 35 minutes
- Pistons @ Spurs: 18 points on 8/14 shooting, including 3 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals in 36 minutes

Let’s say he didn’t lose any balls and didn’t miss any shots. More serious? He is still injured and won’t be back on the courts until February.

#THEO MALDON
It pays for the two-way contract system because Theo has already played in 35 of the 50 games allowed in one season in the NBA, so he was sent to the G League so the Hornets could keep him just below the elbow. At the end of the season, LaMelo Ball will be politely asked to rest for Charlotte’s loss. He was a hit as soon as he returned to the lower tier, logically because he is better than 95% of the players in this championship. Also note that he played his first match against the Swarm at position 3, once again an incredible scout.
