Wallbox and Grandvalira are developing the largest electric car charging station in the Pyrenees.
Wallbox, a leading provider of electric vehicle and energy management solutions, announces the installation of twenty electric vehicle charging points at Grandvalira Resorts’ Andorran ski resorts. The chargers will be equipped with photovoltaic panels to ensure the use of clean and sustainable energy
A Barcelona startup listed on the NYSE, present in over 113 countries and already among the world leaders in charging solutions for electric vehicles Wallbox joins forces with Grandvalira resorts To create the largest charging station in the Pyrenees. The aim is to support the sustainable development initiatives of the Andorra station, which recently announced an investment of 2.5 million euros in energy self-generation and conservation projects to reduce electricity consumption by 15% compared to the previous season.
Suitable for extreme conditions down to -25°C, these twenty chargers are connected to photovoltaic panels installed in the ski resort to allow users to recharge with clean and sustainable energy.
Two installation areas of the ski resort, Grau Roig and Costa Rodona, are equipped with the model.
Commander 2 is the most premium solution for semi-public spaces with a charging power of 7.4 kW. Wallbox will also install a fast charging station Supernova, with a power of 60 kW, allowing autonomy of up to a hundred kilometers in less than fifteen minutes. All chargers are connected to the internet via Wi-Fi and 4G to remotely monitor infrastructure status and real-time charging.
