iPhone 15 release date
According to rumors, we will have to be patient… Because the release of the iPhone 15 would be scheduled for the fall of 2023. Analyst Jeff Pu even mentions a date: September 23, 2023.
4 new models should appear: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. In addition, the new Pro series can be called Ultra, According to Mark Gurmanthus, according to the logic of the new premium Apple Watch: Apple Watch Ultra.
iPhone 15 price
As for the prices of the future iPhone, it is difficult to predict exactly at the moment. Initial rumors pointed to a very significant price increase due to increased production costs and inflation, with the iPhone 15 starting at $1,299 (around €1,230).
But weaker-than-expected iPhone 14 sales could eventually lead Apple to lower the iPhone 15, marking a steeper price gap with the Pro (Ultra?) line, which comes with premium features.
iPhone 15 design
Apple is expected to offer two screen sizes for the new iPhone: 6.1 inches (iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro) and 6.7 inches (iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max).

The design of the iPhone 15 Pro series should be further developed, in particular:
- A more scratch-resistant titanium frame that will replace the stainless steel frame used in iPhones,
- New technology integrated into the side buttons that allows haptic feedback (similar to the home button on older models like the iPhone SE) and simulates vibration when you “press” the button,
- Returning curved edges.
End of clapping for Lightning port?
Apple will have to say goodbye to the Lightning port after the European decision to introduce the USB Type-C port on all electronic devices from the fall of 2024 in order to limit e-waste. Thus, the iPhone 15 will be the first Apple model equipped with a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port.
On the other hand, it’s hard to know if this new port will be integrated into the European-only iPhones.
iPhone 15 camera
As for the camera, all models of the iPhone 15 should be equipped with a 48-megapixel lens (currently only available in the Pro range of the iPhone 14).
Another big innovation: the arrival of a 12-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens that will significantly improve optical zoom (currently x3 vs. x6). On the other hand, this lens should only be available for iPhone 15 Pro Max models.
