Grizzlies eat Bucks: + 41 points!

Former FedEx insider Zach Randolph, one of the fathers of “Grit&Grind,” must have appreciated the performance his followers put on tonight against Eastern Conference powerhouse Milwaukee, but it’s not there for that matter. suitable

The start of the game quickly allowed Memphis to take cover. Unlike usual, two “role players” contributed to widening the gap: David Roddy and Tyus Jones. The first chained two baskets and an assist for a dunk by Steven Adams, the second two 3-pointers and a layup for Roddy to make it 33-18 after 12 minutes.

Milwaukee was not at the end of its troubles, as only Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis managed to get out of the game. The locals, always uncompromising in defense, added salt before the break, with the still inspired tandem of Tyus Jones and Brooks-Clarke. a perfect relay from Ja Morant rather than the captain of the ship.

So the guard provided the highlight of the show with a 3-pointer, then finished the first half with two baskets in 30 seconds. Enough to cut the Bucks to 29 at halftime (70-41)!

Down the stretch, the Grizzlies continued their performances as Jaren Jackson Jr. and Dillon Brooks made successful 3-pointers. It was Santi Aldama who put on a show between dunks, alley-oops and 3-pointers before allowing Ja Morant to seal a triple-double for Brandon Clarke (110-69). The break had just blown, Ja Morant marked his return to the bench and the substitutes were able to get the job done without much fear. With five minutes to go, the Grizzlies bench took part in a long “Ola” before celebrating their 7th straight victory. 7th straight win to take control of the Western Conference!

WHAT TO REMEMBER

Grizzlies showdown. Memphis seems to have regained some of its momentum from last regular season, improving every rotation and dominating both ends of the court thanks to the aggressiveness of its players. Eight players finished with 10 or more points. Milwaukee never matched the locals’ level of intensity. The 50-point margin is one of the night’s most beautifying figures. To make matters worse for the rivals, last season’s revelation, Desmond Bane, has been in the hospital for a month!

Ja Morant’s triple-double. His extreme activity was again rewarded. In this one-sided game, he was the master of a dominant team, playing 200 per hour with every possession. Although the touchdown was already over, the third quarter thus became a “TD” race for Ja Morant, who eventually confirmed it on two layups for Santi Aldama and Brandon Clarke. It’s only his third triple-double of the season.

Scratches by Bobby Portis. A move that somehow signals the end of the game. Ja Morant had just completed a triple-double and was leading by 40 points when Bobby Portis chipped in a rebound battle won by Santi Aldama. Seeing his opponent counter-attack, the Bucks inside caught the Spaniard’s form and gave him a nice scratch on the shoulder blade, eventually being punished with a Flagrant 1.

TOPS/FLOPS

Ja Morant. The guard, who became the first player in franchise history to record a triple-double before the end of the third quarter, again flew above controversy by playing an active role in putting the Bucks on the ropes.

Grizzlies bench. It’s hard to get a player out of the lot behind Morant because everyone brings their rock to the building. That’s why we vote for the impact of the bench, because initially it was the Jones-Roddy tandem that allowed Memphis to create the first gap, and the players off the bench scored 80 points!

⛔️ Chris Middleton. The winger went through a real black hole. He committed 5 personal fouls in 18 minutes early in the third quarter. Worst of all, his shooting awkwardness remains as he has to wait until his 9th attempt before seeing the ball cross the net. He ended the evening with an airball at the top of the racket at 1/12…
