How to fully customize your lock screen in Android 13

One UI 5 is the interface under Android 13 available (or coming) on ​​many Samsung Galaxy smartphones, such as the Galaxy S22 Ultra that we use in this article. Overall, this software experience adds some subtle yet exciting new features for users. Among them, we especially note the possibility to easily change several elements of the locked screen.

Customizing the lock screen is really easy in One UI 5. The first step is simply to press and hold an empty area of ​​the screen.

However, keep in mind that you still need to unlock the phone to access apps like music streaming platform, gallery or YouTube even via shortcut. On the other hand, activating the Do Not Disturb mode or the flashlight is done immediately.

Change the lock screen wallpaper

Another practical option after a long press: changing the lock screen background. Indeed, there is a button on the top left in the Wallpaper and style settings that allows you to directly access the consultation section of My Wallpapers.

Simply choose between wallpapers offered by Samsung or images stored in your gallery.

Provide your contact information

Between the two app shortcuts below is a button to add your contact information to the home screen. One UI 5 lets you display your phone number or email address in this space so you can be contacted if you lose your phone somewhere.
