By knocking off Atlanta, the Heat won their third in a row. Same series for the Celtics who dominated Washington. The 2022 finalists have won 12 of 13 games. It’s been less fun lately for the Falcons and Wizards.
They waited until the final quarter, but the Cavaliers didn’t hesitate to dominate the Pistons and earn their fifth win in six games. Philadelphia had a very quiet night against Orlando.
Brooklyn – Portland
Minnesota-Golden State
LA Clippers – Indiana
New York-Memphis
Milwaukee – Dallas
Atlanta-Miami: 98-106
The Falcons got off to a great start with 14 points from De’Andre Hunter in the first period. A quick ten-point lead, but the Heat are clinging. Then after halftime, Erik Spoelstra’s players trended.
Bam Adebayo scores 14 points in the third quarter and the Heat go on a 10-2 run. Bam Adebayo (32 points), Tyler Herro (the author of a triple-double) and company are important in the last act, which sank the Atlanta players 17-6. Atlanta’s third loss in four games.

Boston-Washington: 130-121
No Jayson Tatum, no problem for the Celtics. The Wizards were also down (no Kyle Kuzma) and their clumsiness sank against Jaylen Brown (36 points) and the 2022 finalists.
The Boston team was stronger and the difference increased to 26 points in the third quarter. Washington manages to get back to twelve units on the final drive, so Joe Mazzulla simply calls his officials back to secure the win. Third straight loss for the Wizards.

Detroit-Cleveland: 94-102
Through three quarters, the Cavaliers more or less kept pace with the Pistons. They raised their level of play defensively in the final quarter (16 points conceded in twelve minutes) and that made the difference.
Detroit players gave up a lot of valuable points (12) at the free throw line. After two kills by Killian Hayes, Donovan Mitchell (32 points) made a 3-pointer and a free throw, and Cleveland won. Fifth win in six matches for JB Bickerstaff’s players.

Orlando – Philadelphia: 103-133
Still without James Harden, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers were able to rely on Shayk Milton and Tobias Harris to give up the Magic. Both players led Philadelphia 29-10 early in the second quarter.
Orlando’s defense could not slow down Doc Rivers’ players, who were able to score easily, especially with the racket. A gap opened at halftime, and the Floridians would never fall below 20 points again. So the Sixers won easily and handed the Magic their fourth straight loss.
