For this 44th edition of the Cairo International Festival, the festival management has chosen to honor several artists, including Egyptian star Lebleba, who won the Golden Pyramid for his lifetime achievement this year. Coincidentally, the trophy was presented to him at the opening ceremony, which coincided with his birthday!

Lebleba expressed her joy at being honored at this 44th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival after a long career in film, television and entertainment, which started from a young age.

He talked about his artistic beginnings and how he discovered his talent. In fact, it was his family who made him enter the world of art after seeing him imitating his relatives at home. From the age of 3, he made a habit of imitating all his relatives and all his guests at home. He did it very well and very funny. He also talked about his first meeting with writer and screenwriter Abu Al-Saud Al-Ibiari and director Niyazi Mustafa, who played an important role in his artistic career.

Lebleba also told some anecdotes from his long career. For example, when Anwar Waghdi was still a child, he went to see him in one of the theaters where he worked in Alexandria in disguise, and he wanted to see him through the director Hassan Al-Saifi. first film work with him.

Lebleba confirmed that during his artistic career he worked with and learned a lot from many directors such as Atef El Tayeb, Samir Seif, Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Youssef Chahine and others. in his work.

Huseyn Fahmi announced that the board of the festival unanimously decided to honor Lebleba for his very long and very rich career and that he deserves this celebration.

Several artists were present at this meeting, including actress Elham Chahin, who thanked the management of the Cairo Film Festival for choosing to honor star Lebleba, saying that she is the most honest artist and right-wing artist, while actress Laila Elvi said that her friend Lebleba always put her work first after her late mother. reminding As for the actor Mahmud Hamide, he requested that the story of the artist Lebleba be written in the “Guinness” encyclopedia, as he is an artist without equal in the world. He is indeed perhaps the only artist who started his career as a child and has remained in this art environment until today.
