Brice Etienne masters event music with Key des Artistes
Text: Morgan Couturier – Lyonnais Brice Etienne, who fell under the spell of turntables as a teenager, continues to entertain crowds today under the banner of Key des Artistes. Since 2012, individuals and companies have used his musical culture to liven up their events, becoming recognized by some as “the best DJ in France” for six years.
He didn’t want Zouk Makin and Maldon to get the music under his skin, or Jean-Jacques Goldman’s holy words to convince him that his music was good. Yesterday and now, many said it, as evidenced by the honorary title “Best evening DJ in France”, which he carries with him since 2017. over time he becomes confident in his ability to marry his voices, Brice-Etienne His turntables are hardly needed to justify his talent.
This desire makes people want to dance. Having them read while you sit on the bench with him for five minutes is enough to take the twist of this consuming passion. Because with him, the weather is good, the sky is blue, and even an ordinary coffee is enough to pierce his fascination. You want a little, that’s it, the artist likes to show how much she has lived for him since the age of 15. In the meantime, almost 30 years have passed, that is, as many styles have passed through the charts without any escaping it. Trying to trap him in modern times and “youth music,” even as he does, becomes a risky gamble in the twilight of education.
Since he only loves turntables, he once made presentations Nicolas Broquet, Brice Etienne could not resist trying his hand at symphonies. And in events, his other favorite hit. “My company, Loki Concepts, was founded (editor’s note in 2001) as part of a student project. “At that time, I used to organize student parties and then continue with company parties,” he says. Even so, while some saw music as soul-stirring, the Loki Concepts experience was as short-lived as License IV’s musical career. At most seven years, the time to accompany the presentation of Petit Paumé (in 2003) before receiving a big blow behind the ears in 2007.
“I found myself in the subprime crisis. Budgets are frozen. My journey in the desert started there,” he explains.
With pockets full of debt, Brice Etienne still managed to bounce back. Like… first the seller at Auchan, before “a box in the food industry”, allowed him to climb the slope and find his first love, the weekend came. “It took me ten years to rebuild. “We had to start all over again to rebuild the network,” he explains. Artist keyIt was established in 2012. A new event company led by a relevant person and six DJs, three-quarters of whom are professionals and individuals, now take turns entertaining…

His vinyl bar was operating in Fort de Vaise last summer
Mainly in the Rhône, following the example of OL, where it will host the forecourt of the Groupama Stadium next year, but also in other regions, such as the Château de Bagnols, where it powered its wedding Jo Wilfrid Tsonga. His recipe? “I love music in general.” Preferably the right one. “Making a mark on people through music is what I love. Our job is to read the track and adapt to the current T. Customers. It is not up to me to implement my programming. You have to find the connection between different musical tastes,” continues the 40-year-old, who attracts customers with his vinyl bar concept.
So, if the body sometimes urges more rest, the head always enjoys finding new treasures. Six different scenarios (sold for €550 each) and around 300 vinyls bolstered Key des Artistes’ offering. Touched but never sunk, Brice Etienne was born to live from this passion. As if to make his listeners sing this song of Scorpions: “I still love you”!
