Apple’s new flagship is already cheaper to celebrate the launch

The iPhone 14 is already the subject of a launch day promotional offer. Good news for this new generation, whose prices have skyrocketed: so today we’re going from €1,019 to €929.

If other products were introduced during Apple’s Keynote, the iPhone remains the centerpiece of the back-to-school event. There are four new models for this new generation: iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max and iPhone 14 and 14 Plus. The Pro series stands out from the rest with a new notch called Dynamic Island, which is already making noise. On the other hand, this year the prices have gone up even for the classic model, as you have to pay more than 1000 euros. After iPhone 13

For this new generation, the Cupertino company adopts the aesthetic features of the iPhone 13 in its new model. Holds iPhone 14 form factor rectangular from previous generations, with a diagonal of 6.1 inches. The smartphone retains last year’s 20% reduced notch and has a high-quality OLED display with very good brightness. 120 Hz remains exclusive to the Pro range, but even with a screen limited to 60 Hz, navigation will be very pleasant and optimized.

On the performance side, Apple is starting the transition between the classic range and the Pro range. This year, it is not in the same boat as the iPhone 14 Pro versions, as it does not integrate the A16 Bionic chip, but the A15 Bionic chip that was released in the iPhone 13 last year. Hence, it is powered by the same processor as the iPhone 13. iPhone 13 Pro with 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. A slight increase in power compared to the previous model, but without much change. It will be able to cope with any type of task without slowing down. Then with iOS 16, you’ll always enjoy a fluid and easy-to-use interface.

Some improvements

Tim Cook’s company has still improved a few things in this new iteration. In recent years, iPhones have regained a hair of the beast in terms of autonomy and become more durable. The iPhone 14 is no exception, as Apple promises better battery life by increasing the battery capacity. We’re going to 12.68 Wh versus 12.41 Wh on the iPhone 13. With these data, it is difficult to estimate the endurance of the smartphone, but even with fairly intensive use, it should last a full day.

Finally, compared to the iPhone 13, the camera has also been improved: we have the right to obtain a 12-megapixel stabilized main sensor with 1.9 μm photosites and a lens opening at f / 1.5. This makes night mode twice as fast and improves low-light performance by 49%, according to Apple. The selfie camera has also been improved and now includes autofocus.
